Brisbane office WELL registration

We are currently in the process of compiling documentation to submit our application for WELL Certification for our interior office space with the aim of achieving Gold Certification. There are three types of WELL certification applicable to healthy workplaces: Core and Shell, New and Existing Interiors and New and Existing Buildings.

We are pursuing an Interiors Rating for our space within an existing building. This means that some of our policies and procedures are being tweaked to comply with the requirements of the WELL Building Standard. As part of this, we are also in the process of achieving a JUST certification , this originated from the Living Building Standard and recognises organisational transparency.

You’ll start seeing more information pop up around the office, such as nutrition labels for the food provided. We are also working on putting some planters on the roof so that staff can grow herbs and vegetables. We will continue to provide more details of the Certification as we move through the process.

After documentation has been approved, we will have to undergo an onsite assessment with an assessor from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This assessment will test air quality, water quality, acoustics, lighting, thermal comfort and more.

We are seeing the WELL Building Standard come up more frequently on projects that we have been working on, so this will be a great learning experience for all of us.
