OUR CULTURE

Floth is a “JUST Organisation” (Version 2.0) which is a social justice label through the International Living Future Institute (ILFI).

The JUST program is a voluntary disclosure tool and transparency platform for organisations to disclose their operations, including how they treat their employees and where they make financial and community investments.

The JUST label scores organisational and employee-related policies and data against a one to four-star social justice model, which is summarised on the label above.

The JUST label has helped Floth not only to improve our existing policies, but also to provide a roadmap of social justice indicators that we need to further enhance.

Receiving our just label and participating in this program provides us with the following benefits:

A culture that values diversity, equity and inclusion

Diversity & Inclusion

Floth appreciates the value inherent in a diverse workforce. Our retention and promotion strategies are focused on providing a culture and work environment where employees have the opportunity to be successful in their careers and to be represented at all levels of the organisation, including senior leadership.

We actively manage diversity, finding ways of utilising the differences that exist, in order to improve our business. This requires that we actively and flexibly seek to accommodate the unique needs of many different employees.

Floth’s recruitment and succession plan policy is about hiring “the right person for the job.” This policy has naturally seen a diverse workforce formed across the Floth group and this diversity makes us who we are and helps create an inclusive workplace where employees feel valued, respected and supported. Our employees also have access to opportunities and resources, and can contribute their perspectives, ideas and talents to improve our organisation. Above all, we are committed to ensuring that all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

Sustainability

Floth is committed to rigorous environmental management of operations that are continuously improved in order to maintain our ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System (EMS), which has been in place since 2010.

The EMS includes guidance to staff on how they can be responsible and participate within the office environment, in regard to:

  • Reducing waste and the depletion of resources
  • Preventing pollution to the environment
  • Controlling the environmental impact in the sourcing of raw materials
  • Promoting environmental awareness

An Operational Performance Policy further augments Floth’s environmental commitments. This policy includes wide-ranging commitments beyond ISO 14001, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Services and maintainability reviews
  • Green cleaning
  • Sustainable procurement
  • Soft landings framework

Health & Safety

Floth is committed to conducting our activities in a manner that protects the health, safety and welfare of all people in the workplace, and actively encourages safe working practices. In acknowledgement of this commitment, Floth has implemented and been awarded ISO 45001 “Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems” certification.

Floth is proud to be an incident and injury-free workplace.
