The Mandarin Oriental Bali Resort is a 6 Star facility incorporating 140 keys. Accommodation is provided through a combination of totally private detached villas (1, 2 and 3 bedroom), suites and residences, each with their own swimming pool, extensive gardens and unrestricted ocean views. Food and beverage outlets include; an all-day-dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a pool side bar and a beach club, whilst the wedding pavilion, health spa, water garden, gym, children’s playground and meeting rooms complete the central facilities. A feature of the resort is the extensive use of water in reflection ponds which are located throughout the private villas, buildings and landscape.

SPECIAL ENGINEERING FEATURES
  • The hotel is serviced by an off-site standby diesel generation plant, sewerage treatment plant and reverse osmosis plant. The removal of these major items of infrastructure from the site eliminates any potential issues relating to noise, odour and the disruptions caused by frequent maintenance access. Additionally, the valuable space made available has been utilised to further enhance the development through additional accommodation, more extensive landscape, etc.
  • The hotel and private residences combined, occupy an extensive site area in excess of 18 hectares. To accommodate this, a private underground high voltage electricity network has been provided incorporating four substations interconnected via a ring feeder to improve resiliency and optimise low voltage cable reticulation.
  • Each Villa is provided with a dedicated combined services plant room which accommodates the air handling unit, bathroom exhaust fan, hot water unit, switchboard, and equipment rack. This solution eliminates all services equipment from within the Villa, giving back valuable area to the occupiable space, whilst minimising noise intrusion and the need for hotel engineering staff to enter the villa for maintenance.
  • Each villa and suite are provided with a dedicated swimming pool. By taking advantage of the site topology Floth were able to provide fully accessible underground plant rooms for all pools, providing similar benefits to those described above.
